Hugh Grant shares fashion tipsc

September 5, 2010 |23:16 | Fashion Tips  By : Team X

Hugh Grant thinks it's "terrible" when people in their forties dress like teenagers. The 49-year-old British actor is famed for his classic English style, shunning trends in fashion to stick to his trademark polo shirts, chinos and cashmere pullovers. Hugh says he finds it embarrassing when his peers try to look stylish, admitting he prefers to dress his age.

"I think there is a tendency for all of us over 30 to dress too young. You walk down the street in New York or in London and all you see is people dressed as teenagers when they're in their forties. I think that's terrible," he told the British edition of OK! magazine.

March 18, 2009 |12:35 | Fashion Tips  By : Team X

Mix and Match: The world of fashion is full of outdated and ridiculous rules that women all over feel the need to follow and obey. While some may be well worth adhering to, others deserve to be thrown to the curb.

Keep it Even: As with most things in life, finding the perfect balance in important. It抯 okay to wear earrings, necklaces, or bracelets that are bulky and ornate. However, if you do decide to wear something that is bulky and bold, balance it with simple pieces.

Transgender Fashion Tips: Dressing Everyday

November 19, 2008 |18:21 | Fashion Tips  By : Team X

wanted to write some of my own thoughts, about the amount of time, energy, finances, and planning it takes to dress (everyday). I recently had a run of consults every day, along with several family obligations, and a 10 week old puppy.

I found myself, getting overwhelmed when I had not planned ahead on what I was wearing each day while seeing 4 different clients for 2 days per client, having my hair trimmed, coloured, and conditioned, doing my nails, and not having the best colour of hose to wear, with a white outfit that got blue ink on it; and going to the dermatologist to get a sun spot taken off my arm, not having a purse to match my shoes.

This includes also needing to iron my causal day time jeans and blouses, and running to the shoe repair to get my leather purses cleaned, and tips put on my heels, and to pick up several items at the drug store, needed for makeup and skin issues (which is never under $100.00 for one drug store run).

Tips on men's fashion

September 12, 2008 |13:11 | Fashion Tips  By : Team X

Here is an expert opinion on men's fashion that would clear common misconceptions that men have about dressing, accessories that they can use and personal grooming.

Fiction: Real men don’t wear pink
Fact: A guy can wear any colour he wants to because colours, at least on clothes, do not have a masculine or feminine side as we are made to believe. Having said that, it is perfectly safe (even for the most macho man) to wear pink shirts, T-shirts or ties. We, however, suggest that you avoid wearing pink jeans, trousers or suits – not because they look better on women but because they just don’t work as clothing items for men. The rule with wearing colour, even pink, is to wear it with confidence.

Backstage Beauties Show Off Fall Makeup

August 21, 2008 |13:50 | Fashion Tips  By : Team X

As hot summer wanes and cooler fall approaches, makeup artists responded with makeup trends that could heat up the coolest of hearts. At the Alex Perry MasterCard Charity Show in Sydney, Australia, designers chose smoky, mysterious eyes and soft delicate lips for their models to create a vulnerable yet bold look.

Dark eyeliner was applied on the inner bottom eyelid and around the entire eye as was eye shadow that lined the entire outer shape of the eye. Heavy black mascara added the finishing touches.

Lip colors ranged from natural coral to warm skin-toned pink so as not to clash with the heavy eyes. Makeup artists gave mouths either a “stained” appearance by applying color just to the inside of the lips without filling in the entire shape, or a sheer texture by using light gloss to blend the light colors for a natural look.

WINNER OF PROJECT CATWALK SHARES HIS FASHION TIPS

August 16, 2008 |13:17 | Fashion Tips  By : Team X

If you’re like me, you change up your look every so often. To keep it firm during this hot heat, stay simple. Dark colors, long chains and a fresh cut keeps it smooth ‘n easy.

It’s cool to go all out with your style but sometimes makin’ it minimal makes a big statement, especially with the ladies. Stay slick with a crew cut from Regis Salons at Stonewood Center. It’ll keep you masculine and in check. Orale!

Kristine – “Unpredictable” – “Kristine’s fashionable style is considered unpredictable because she can go from an evening gown to T-shirt and jeans.” I can say that I dress according to my mood and occasion but always with a different twist of my own style.

My main tip when getting dressed is to be versatile (an outfit that can work for both day and night). For example, a good pair of denim jeans goes a long way along with a flowy, flower print blouse like this one. The key is to change the main accessories to convert a whole outfit from day to night.

For the day, you can wear a summery open-toe shoe with simple gold accessories. As for the night, you can dress it up a little with a closed-toe shoe and bold accessories. This outfit is great and fits the description of versatile. And the whole outfit can be found at Macy’s at Stonewood Center for under $100.

Fashion has been a very different experience: Mugdha Godse

July 19, 2008 |15:59 | Fashion Tips  By : Team X

Mughda Godse who is making her debut with Madhur Bhandarkar’s Fashion is on a different high these days. “It has been a very different experience,” says Mughda.

Mugdha plays a fashion model in a film, which focuses almost exclusively on high fashion. Therefore, it was not much of a transition at all, seeing that she is an experienced model herself. “It wasn’t a cake walk either,” she says. “I have been doing catwalk for a long time in front of a live audience. Here one has to be careful because a camera can be much more personal. It can catch your emotions quickly yet I enjoyed it” she adds.

About her role in the film, Mughda plays the role of Janet - a Catholic model. She is very free spirited and has her own emotional journey in the film. Janet is not like Mugdha at all. I think the best thing that has happened to me is that Madhur sir is my first director. I’m exploring myself as an actor on a much larger level and at a faster pace. Madhur gives liberty to the actor to perform, inside the boundaries of his vision. I am a big fan of his cinema and my favourite is Chandni Bar. I think that film is one of the cult classics,” she informs.
